Hey @GyrusKorstik, thanks for getting through to us, welcome to forums and sorry to hear about the difficulties you've had with accessing your purchased game.
If you've happened to own Free Weekend version of the game and then decided to purchase full copy, this may result in another download process being triggered and is therefore working as intended.
As far as connecting to the game, do mind that when you will install it, it will take some additional time for the whole installation process to be completed and multiplayer won't be available right away, however once it's concluded, you should be able to connect.
Nevertheless, if you do continue to experience connectivity related issues, for troubleshooting purposes, try completing steps outlined in the following article and see if it helps. If problem persists however, can you let us know what error message you receive?
