I've seen it mentioned by quite a few people now that their accounts are being hijacked and logins from a different country, these accounts then get banned for cheating.
From scenerios I've seen this is with 2FA enabled as well.

During one fiasco of a cheater streaming his cheats himself he also mentioned cracked accounts.

I'm concerned now that people have been hacking other's accounts and using them to hack with, then abandoning them once they get banned/whatever there goal was is achieved.

As you can imagine, this is quite alarming.

For those getting a tad worried by this, make sure your email password is also different to your uPlay, I have a feeling this maybe the backdoor for some of those. To go into more specifics contacting Ubi Support, stating you no longer have access to abc email account / 01234 mobile number for 2FA and providing some proof, whatever it maybe. That or their is a vulnerability in 2FA/Ubi.

To add to this, two high profile streamers have also been hacked in more recent times (check name history):
Zironic
Pengu.G2

There is also the story of Supermaxxii that is still currently banned, legit or not I don't know. Surely Ubi/BattlEye can tell which country that the account was using cheats in though?

Hey PotKettleBlack.,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I appreciate your concern regarding this, however as long as your PC or mobile device isn't compromised, having 2-FA feature will certainly prevent anyone from logging in to your account.

If however we do have a scenario where account has been hacked and cheated on, this will be looked at and evaluated appropriately when in process of ban appeal however I would be unable to discuss this in detail.

In regards to the other players you've mentioned, regrettably we also would be unable to discuss someone else's suspension however these things are always being carefully looked at and assessed before making the decision.

Should you have any other questions, let us know!
