[2022] MMR loss

Hey there @odeadmasko! Warmest greetings to the forums! My apologies for the frustration this situation has caused during matches in ranked this season. As shared in our Blog here, we have introduced a Match Cancellation feature to help mitigate players who leave at the beginning of a match. The feature will be available during the Prep Phase if the team starts with less than a full team or if someone leaves during the prep phase. However, I understand this doesn't help when someone goes mid-match, but the group is open to feedback on this issue. I don't believe Match Cancellation would be extended throughout the match since players could abuse this if they are about to lose and have someone take an Abandonment Sanction for a canceled game. It is important to remember that there are Abandonment Sanctions in place for players who leave matches repeatedly, which increases the more they abandon matches. Having players join in a Ranked game while in progress would be unfair to the person entering the battle and not something I think the team would consider implementing, especially when it is on the last round of the game and the team they join is losing. It presents an unfair loss to the person who entered, and they should not lose MMR over it.

I will share this feedback with the Dev Team to review MMR distribution primarily in these situtations. Also, if you have any further feedback or suggestions that could help the team improve in this area of the game, please don't hesitate to share this with us here!
