[2021] [Crash/Freeze]"Oh no, it crashed!" - and I can't seem to fix it

Since the last patch I cannot run the game, it crashes on launch with the old "Oh no, it crashed!" message from Ubisoft Connect.

I have tried the following:

1. Verifying the files within steam
2. Reinstalling the game
3. Running as administrator
4. Ensuring the gpu drivers are up to date
5. Disabling overlays in ubisoft and steam

Any thing else anyone can think of?

The first thing I would suggest is to attempt each step suggested here. These steps are known to resolve most of the common causes of crashing/freezing.

If after doing so you're still experiencing issues I'd then recommend opening a support case. You can reach us either through the support website by opening a live chat session or alternatively through our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter and they will be able to create a support case for you.

After you've opened the case if I can also ask you to attach two system reports to the case that will assist us in identifying any potential cause. The reports we need from you are:

DxDiag
