The more I look at Siege these days, the more I realize that I dislike pretty much every change the developers have made since its release. Online play has become a cesspool of cheaters, hackers and trolls. UBI has nerfed every operator that I liked to irrelevancy and wrecked all the maps I enjoyed with their awful 'remakes'. They have ruined Single player and Casual by changing the game to try and force everyone to play by Ranked and Pro league rules. Which is to say, they have terminated support for all game types except "Defuse Bomb".
So I'm preparing to give up on it. But I'm wondering - is there any way for a PC owner of this game, who plays it on Steam, to 'reset' the game to what it was originally in 2015? To be frank - the game seemed LESS buggy, and to have MORE features, back when it was first released. I'd like to restore it to that state, and just do Single Player Terrorist Hunts in 'offline' mode. Mind you, I'd still like to keep all the operators and cosmetics I've collected over the last 5 years - but that's it. I can live without the rest of it - especially the nightmare that online multiplayer has become. Give me back the game when its Single Player aspect was still fun and challenging.
If UBI wants to turn Siege into a garbage dump rehash of Counter Strike and Quake 3 Arena, fine. But let me change it to what it was before the Pro league ruined it, and keep it that way.
