This is getting fuking annoying with the loss of MMR from playing with a cheater who i have no idea who the cheater even was. I totally understand the situation of people who get boosted and legit have hacks so there accounts get banned and all that stuff. Honestly think cheaters are the worst thing there is and really ruins the fun of the game for everyone. but for the last week week and a half i have logged in to find i have lost MMR due to the game giving that stupid msg. "you have lost xx mmr due to playing with a cheater.

I havent even played rank in 3 weeks. but its now telling me this and i have lost 2 ranks due to some idiot cheating or being reported a cheater or whatever. So i get penalized and just get told to deal with it. I use to play with a 5 stack so i never had to deal with this. But since they have all quit or joined other 5 stacks i played solo for alittle bit till i found that to be a waste of mmr due to no team work. But now i cant even play solo and maybe get a win without a fear of being told i played with a cheater and give up even more MMR.

seriously this system needs a major overhaul of how to deals with cheaters and all,.now i just play unranked since ranked obviously is to messed up to even bother with it. Im just waiting till the manage to mess that up and suddenly i log in to find my account has been banned due to playing with some random cheater that i have never met or even know. Cause hey that makes a ton of since right. Screw the guy who it playing legit and trying to enjoy himself. But cant even get ahead because UBI has a broken rank system that is zero fun and no one is able to get ahead unless they have a full 5 man stack to play with anymore.

Hey Kil, it's definitely a frustrating situation you've found yourself in, I definitely understand the sentiment. Hopefully the new way we are going about tackling cheaters will reduce the incidental rate of playing with one. That being said, how would you restructure the system yourself?

So instead of the game just taking the original 20 its hitting me as if i lost a game. So yes the system needs to be adjusted as such so it only takes away the amount that i would have won and not take away as if i lost a match.

If this is how the system is suppose to work where i am only suppose to loose what was gained from a match then it needs to be looked at because something might be wrong with your coding of the game and needs to be adjusted. As many have pointed out this happening to them as well in other post.
The rollback is the total amount of MMR impacted by multiple players that have been banned. For example, you mentioned losing 40 MMR from a match, but only gaining 20 MMR back from the rollback. Let's say you play Game 1 and lose 40 MMR from losing to a cheater. Game 2 you play with a cheater and earn 20 MMR from the win. When the rollback happens, it will see that you are supposed to gain back 40 MMR but then take away the 20 MMR you benefited from a banned player. This means the net total of MMR you are supposed to get back is only 20.

Some players have discussed the idea of having the system not remove MMR if you were to beat a cheater at the very least. However, as we mentioned in our MMR Rollback blog post, this could cause potential inflation in MMR. Do you think the tradeoff of not losing MMR when you win against a cheater is worth the amount of inflation?
