It is widely known that content creators, as well as Pro League players, usually create alt/smurf accounts so that they can play from the very beginning once again. Videos of them going from Bronze to Platinum, intentionally throwing matches to derank and then beating players which are less skilled than they are just for fun, or videos of them going against literal newcomers or people trying the game on the free weekend to get a rush of feeling good, are disgusting and a clear example of non-sportsmanship behaviour. With the change to the Terms of Service that now prohibits smurfing, this should be fixed right?

Well, it doesn't seem to be the case, since one of the (arguably) most renowned pro players in our community has decided he is above the rules, and uploaded a Youtube video of him creating a smurf account and leveling it by playing in Newcomer's List to smack newbies. He even says "Well this was fun" in the video description. Check it out if you don't believe me. This is huge! Reddit's already divided on it, with some people condemning it, but some defending what is clearly against the rules, not to mention a prime example of toxicity. I guess them pros can do no wrong, huh?

So I wonder... what's Ubisoft going to do now? Because it seems to me that some players in our community get special treatment already and are calling (some of) the shots of game balance that affects us all, but if they can also get away with breaking the rules and needn't be held accountable for their actions just like everyone else...
That would be sincerely terrible.

Just to clarify the Terms of Use:
While there are certainly may be exceptions to the standard practice of one account per player, the main intent of this policy is to prevent toxic behavior or from players to create an unfair advantage during game play. We prefer to engage with players about this topic and determine a course of action after reasonable discourse. However, Ubisoft does reserve the right to take action, ranging from warnings, to bans up to account closures.
