[2020] @Ubi: Abandon Penalty for Canceled Match??

Not sure if Ubi monitors this stuff or if I missed something in the patch notes, but:

Started a ranked match and lost connection during ban phase.Texted my squad to let them know, and they opted to cancel the match while I figured out the issue. Got it sorted, logged on and was met with an abandon penalty.

Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear that you received an abandonment penalty as a result of disconnection.

I am afraid we are unable to remove these bans. We are actively working on improving the system so that disconnections do not result in a penalty.

Apologies for any inconvenience that this has caused.

can I also askt hat you ensure your connection is in the best state possible to play, you can do this by following the links below for your platform:
