I've been experiencing freezes: once in a while (say, an hour or two) the game would stop for about two seconds during actual play. After the latest Tachanka update, it got worse: game stops for two seconds, then one frame gets displayed, another two second stop. I believe it's visual only, the sound continues. These appear both with DirectX and Vulkan. AMD CPU, AMD GPU, Windows 7.

Hello DogtorFlashbank thanks for getting in contact about your crashes after the last update.

As you said you are running WIndows 7, are you using the 64 bit version, as this is the only version that will run Rainbow Six Siege.

To check if you are running 32 bit or 64 bit, please run a dxdiag first by following this guide - https://ubi.li/bfvV9

For issues such as crashes to desktop, screen freeze and black screens on launch there are several troubleshooting steps I would advise taking to resolve this as these are the most well known fixes to these types of problems -

- Run the games .exe file and the launchers .exe file as Administrator
- Update Ubisoft Connect game launcher
- Update Driver and Windows
- Try re-installing the game or reinstalling to another hard drive or SSD if possible
- Verify the games files in your launcher
- Try a clean boot - This means disabling all background applications and software in Task Manager
- Whitelist the launcher and game in your Anti-Virus software
- Run the game in safe mode
- Delete any temporary installation files
- Do a 'System File Check' on your computer to check corrupted files

To see how to perform some of these steps please check out our troubleshooting guide here -
