[2021] Help with "Squad member has ongoing Ranked match"

The issue: 3 people on my friends list still play Siege and they get in today. A random immediately leaves after pairing up and stuff is my understanding. Now they all 3 are stuck with no being able to play ranked because it keeps telling them to rejoin. This after over 30 minutes. So I jump on even though I strongly dislike Siege and try to invite them. It tells me "Squad member has ongoing ranked match". They explain to me this is a known problem and people do that to others to keep them from playing. 2 moved to other games. But I was trying to help the one get in hoping that by joining me it would work and they could get in.

Just seems like an odd thing. One tried to delete all console and cloud data. And a full reset of the Xbox Series X for another. Even with a complete uninstall and reinstall it is not working.

Is there any fix?
