[2021] game crashing before match

Asking for a friend...

This isnt the frst time, but for long periods of time my friends game keeps crashing just before the match.
When loading into round one the game just crashes and shuts down.
Crash report says, (translated from Dutch unbfortunately) "Oh no, a crash! Tom Clany's Rainbow Six Siege has crashed. Send a report so we can find out what went wrong."

This isnt the first time this has happened for a period of multiple weeks, but this is by far the longest.

Sorry its kind of vague but this is all the info I got. Really hope someone has a clue cause we havent been able to play in a while and weve been playing since the very beginning...
