Tonight I join into a game in progress. Round has just started, so I'm watching cams trying to do call outs and be helpful. I get mocked on mic for doing so. Next round begins, I select Rook. My teammate asked me to drop the trauma plates, which I do as soon as the round starts. Then he shoots me in the head, they laugh and say 'thanks bud', and then I am vote kicked.

I've only been playing for a week. I have been vote kicked 3 times. Once after failing to win a round, twice at the very beginning of a round after joining a match in progress, which I'm assuming means the guy before me was vote kicked too. I've had several other vote kicks initiated against me without doing anything wrong. I've seen several other vote kicks initiated against teammates. What I have never seen was an appropriate use of the vote kick tool. I have not even come across a situation where it seemed necessary to use that tool. "Clutch or kick" I hear on mic many times. It's being abused.

Everything about this game has been enjoyable for me. Except for vote to kick. It's really demoralizing to get kicked out of a game while just trying to be on a team. I have enough problems in real life with socializing, this game was me stepping out of my box and trying to share a hobby with others.

Hey Bishop! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Siege. I have been taking note of reports for Vote Kick abuse for my report to the team. It is unfortunate to hear a tool that should be used to remove toxic players is being used by toxic players by themselves. I have also been asking for suggestions from the community on how to combat this Vote Kick abuse. If you have any thoughts, please let us know!
I completely understand you are just trying to enjoy the game, and would also like for you to continue to enjoy it as well. I'm also glad to hear that Siege has been really helpful for you to make new friends and socialize. I encourage you to check out our R6 Discord if you have not joined already. There are plenty of people who are always looking for a group to squad up with.

Bottom line, there needs to be accountability by those that are initiating a vote-kick against a teammate. Everyone is different, but personally, I find vote-kick abuse more toxic than berating someone in chat (not that I condone either). If someone is being rude and offensive, I can mute them and I can report them, and I can keep playing (or leave if I want). If someone is initiating a vote-kick, I just gotta wait and see and hope my team allows me to keep playing the game that I also paid for? Toxic players enjoy upsetting others. What better way to upset someone than to deny them the privilege of playing the game by kicking them out of a public game server.
I completely agree with the fact that Vote-Kick can be used in a toxic manner and has seen a recent increase. I think naming the person that initiated the Vote Kick would help identify the proper person to report for Vote Kick abuse. I also think that keeping track of how often players initiate vote kick may be a bit complicated to use for validating reports of Vote Kick abuse. I thought about the idea of selecting a reason for Vote Kick (ie Toxicity, AFK, Cheating) to help figure out what the use of Vote Kick may be.
You can currently report players for abusive behavior in this case. You can find out who you recently played with by going to the Club website under Add Friends. You should have a list of players you recently played with.

That would also be good! Having the option for a custom response may be better to get a better understanding of the situation.

As it stands now, when one player in a stack teamkills, the entire team gets RFF enabled. Since it didn't turn on for everyone else on the team it's likely one of them was playing alone. I totally understand how frustrating in can be to encounter toxicity while trying to play, and it's definitely not the kind of environment we want our players in, so please don't forget to report individuals like this using the in-game tools. Also, if you have any video evidence of a player being toxic, you can bring that to our Support team here.

It's disappointing to see that a portion of our community has to endure things like this. Our team is constantly looking for ways to combat toxic behavior and we'd love for you all to chip in with ideas or anything you think might be helpful. Actions like the ones you describe should be reported in-game with the report tools given.

I'd actually be in favor of a rep system if it were implemented in a manner where it would tie in directly with votekick system where players with an excessive amount of negative rep score can be votekicked with a lower threshold say 1 or 2 or 3 out of 5 players could vote to remove the player and they'd be kicked.

Now my system isnt without potential for abuse but it's better than what we have now
This would be an interesting system to implement. I do like the idea of having a reputation system to help the team identify toxic behaviors and get a better understanding of certain repeat offenders.

You could up or downvote a player just once every 24 hours and a 4 player squad can't make a big difference. Basically they can do the same with the report system right now.
Also you can easily analyze statistically the downvote rates of players so bullying can be recognized and they can be sent to the A-hole list together.
I think having a limit of downvoting that person once every 24 hours may be ideal to prevent people from mass-downvoting players. I think it would also be ideal to track who the downvote was from and be able to see if someone is abusing the feature by downvoting each person they encounter.
