[2021] Banned for abandoning a match i could'nt join

Just a minute ago i was going to play a ranked game, i started queuing but then changed my mind just so i could go drink some water. Then the game says that i cant abandon my match and if i don't reconnect i get a abandon penalty and lose lp. I wasn't even in a game. I tried pressing reconnect but the server wouldn't let me, i even treid to restart the game but still could'nt get in. After about 2 minutes i get a 30 min ban from ranked and lose some of my lp.

Ubisoft, Please fix!

Hello TheRuby17, thank you for reporting this and sorry to see it gave you an abandonment sanction.

This can happen if the game has already connected you to a ranked match, and loaded you into it, in the background. Quitting the game after receiving a warning may give you a first offence ban of 30 minutes. To prevent this from happening please try not to quit matchmaking during ranked, if the issue is that you can not find a match after 5 minutes, then we would recommend closing the game and restarting your router.
