Hi, my ubisoft connect is Not_KissShot and I play on the ps5. I'm having problems regarding matchmaking on R6S. I live in Portugal, so supposedly the ideal data center would be eu-central or eu-west (I was normally connected to eu-central), but when I get to the main menu, the game isn't always on the right datacenter. I've been placed multiple times on US East and Central US servers, sometimes even Southeast Asian, against my own will. When I queue for a game, my ping skyrockets and even when in the main menu it says that I'm in the eu-central-1 database, when I queue and find a match, I'm always on the wrong server. This problem only occurs on R6S, and though I don't understand much about tech, I have no problems whatsoever playing other games in terms of ping. I tried to talk to ubi support some time ago ( around may last year) , but it didn't help my case whatsoever. I put the game aside for almost a year now, not because I don't want to play it, but because of this issue. Can you please help me? Thank you.

P.S: My NAT type is open, and I have uPNP enabled (I can chrome cast, so that means it is enabled, though I'm not sure because I don't understand anything about all of this at all). Also, back when switching servers on console was possible, I did it a few times (did it one season, Para Bellum I think, just for placement matches). I don't know if that can affect my connectivity nowadays, but I did do it (if it can help). I've looked at port forwarding and will try to solve my issue through the connectivity troubleshooting guide by ubisoft, but I really don't understand it at all. There are multiple ports, which one should I choose? All of them? The router app only allows udp or tcp, not both (unless I create more than one "setting" for one ping). Furthermore, I have an ethernet cable connected to my ps5, but not directly from the router (i have a tp-link thingy I plug in the wall and then connect the cable there to give me internet from my router, so should I do the port forwarding on the tp-link or the router itself??)
Again, I've now come back to the game, I have around 1000 hours on it and I really hate not being able to play it.

Hello Not_KissShot, thank you for getting in touch with us about your connection issues and sorry to hear you have not been able to play the game for some time.

So when it comes to forwarding ports, this may be your best option to connect to the correct data server. What I would suggest first is can you connect to ethernet without the use of the TP link at all? I know the TP link is convenient but I have heard in some cases it does not provide the best connection compared to plugging your computer directly to the router with ethernet.

As for the ports, you would need to log into your router via your computers browser, I can see you said you had the option for separate TCP and UDP and this is perfectly normal.

The ports you need are -

TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480 (These all need to be set up separately for TCP in your router settings)

UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658, 6115, 10000-10099. (This need to be set up separately for the routers UDP settings, the last value 10000-10099 needs to be set up with that exact start and end value)

I do have a handy guide for you regarding port forwarding that may explain this better then I am, you can always reach out to your Internet Service Provider for help with this too - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Article/000061022

Let us know how you get on after trying these steps as they may be your best option to improve your connection.

Yes exactly right, do each port one at a time.

If you can connect your computer wirelessly to the internet, although not usually a better connection then ethernet, please try this to make sure the TP link is not interfering is some way, you will still be able to set up the ports.

TCP: 80 is a Ubisoft Connect launcher port.
Do you have any other services or games connected to those ports at the moment that you know of, that your router displays?
