Greetings,
For a run down of my situation: I play on an Xbox One S and play with crossplay disabled - to limit MnK players/cheaters. I have, since about a month and a half ago, been playing Siege again regularly. I play a variety of online multiplayer games, with Siege being one of them. Yet, Siege has one problem the others don't have: lag.
I do not mean lag in ping issues - in fact the in-game ping reported to me by Siege is consistently 14-30 ping and does not spike. Despite relatively decent internet, whenever I play Siege, at least every other game, if not every game, I experience both freezing and rubberbanding. I may shoot a guy ten times with a pistol but five seconds later, I am dead on the ground and he's at full health. I have no idea why this is going on but it isn't just me. I have been in a party/squad with two to three friends and they, too, often experience such things.
The warnings I get from the game occur after the freezing/rubberbanding/lag, are high latency and packet loss. Just another note: this does not seem to change between crossplay being disabled/enabled nor if VSync is on or off. I have looked at the connectivity guide and have found that none of the items listed ended up solving my problem. Keep in mind that this is something that is occurring to not just me but to people across cities and states in the US central server.
Also, chalking it up to be on the user's end does go very well, especially for console players who are already tired with their neglect from the Siege developers. Even if we have to deal with MnK players, at least allow us to play a game without such bugs. I am one of the many who do not usually go to online forums or voice complaints. In fact, I prefer to just stop playing the game and move on but the issues listed above made me mad enough to take time just to write this.
