Yeah so I'm receiving disk write error after I tried to update the game (a 3GB patch). It installed for I think about 2GB until it decided to launch the game and that's when the whole installer bugged. Solution would be to add a button to the options menu to force the game to not launch your game when you are away, such as sleeping, so that this will never happen again, but I don't understand why they haven't made this a thing for all these years since they made any game launch automatically when updating it.

I tried to remove the patch from the downloads folder from the game folder but it still gives me the same error message.

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the whole entire game? Because frankly, that's just stupid. What if someone had such a slow download speed that it took them days to download the game and then it does this? Absolutely unfair.

@maz_ter Hey there, sorry to hear that you're encountering this error. Firstly, I'd suggest that you verify your game files, and uninstall and reinstall the Ubisoft Connect launcher.

If your issue persists after this, I would suggest reinstalling the game. I realize that this is not ideal, as it can be time-consuming.

Should you continue to have issues, I'd recommend that you reach out to our Support Team via our Support Website, Twitter DMs, or Facebook PMs with copies of your MSINFO and DXDiag and a description of the issue (you can even send a link to your post here). Once received, our teams will be able to look into this further with you.

If you're contacting through Social Media, please make sure to also include the username and email address associated with your Ubisoft account. Our teams there will have to link your account before you're able to upload your files. Thank you!
