Hi there, I have recently tried to install Rainbow Six: Siege and cannot come right. I bought it on Epic games, however it brings me to uplay launcher anyways to download some files needed. When I try to download Siege the download starts and the speed goes up and then after about 5 seconds the speed goes down to 0 b/s and stays there. I have tried installing on epic games, uninstalled and tried on Uplay alone, reinstalled Uplay, tried a vpn and doing things like disabling my firewall, changing bandwidth limit etc. The VPN method worked, but my speeds were terribly slow and would take me weeks to download.

After doing some digging online I have found that the problem is probably my download server location, I live in South Africa so I believe the download location here is either very traffic heavy or corrupted in some way. Is there a way to change my download server location? (preferably somewhere in europe) Or are there any other methods you can suggest?

Thanks.

Hey EatMaBulletzz,

Thanks for reaching out, welcome to forums and I am sorry to hear about the issue you ran into.

This seem to be quite unusual problem and I can see that you've done multiple steps to resolve this to no success.

Do you possibly have mobile data at all? If so, give this workaround a go and see whether that helps:

- When the download stops, pause it.
- Disconnect the system from the internet.
- Completely exit Uplay.
- Connect the system to another internet source, for example, a mobile hotspot.
- Start Uplay again.
- Try resuming the download
