Hello, I recently reinstalled Rainbow Six Siege on my PC after not playing it for a few months and ever since I have been experiencing screen tearing. I didn't experience this issue the last time I played it a couple of months ago. I have searched all over the internet and tried nearly every setting on Rainbow6 but nothing I can find will fix it.

I do not experience screen tearing on any other game I play (Valorant, Minecraft etc) and have tried with V-Sync, G-Sync, FreeSync on and off. I just don't know what to do.

If you have any fixes or even suggestions please let me know.

Hey @Aiirns, thanks for getting through to us, welcome to forums and sorry to hear about the screen tearing issue you've been dealing with, as I fully appreciate how difficult it can be to enjoy the game to it's full extent.

First and foremost, may I check the following:

  1. What GPU are you using?
  2. Are you using Vulkan or DX API?
  3. I understand that you did not play for some time and issue occurred only when you get back, therefore am I safe to say you have noticed this since latest patch?
  4. What's the refresh rate of your monitor?

In the meantime, for troubleshooting purposes, if you haven't already, give the following steps a go and see if issue persists. To add, if you have been using DX API, try using Vulkan (should your system meet the requirements) as some players stated they were able to achieve more stable performance through it.

Keep us updated!
