Bought R6S a few days ago on EGS, installed it just today, while i am trying to launch the game i am getting to uplay and the launcher asks me for the key. Once i enter the key - it says that the key is already registered on my account. I can see R6S on both libraries (EGS and uplay) and the key attached to the uplay account. Still cant start the game.

Hey there, v0idh! I'm very sorry to hear that you're being asked for a key when trying to play Rainbow Six Siege. Since you've already activated the game, try running it as an administrator. Granting programs admin rights can actually resolve a number of technical issues. Then, if that doesn't work, you can try going through the other steps in this guide.

If these suggestions do not help, please contact our team at support.ubi.com. They would be glad to provide further assistance to get this resolved!

Hey voidh,

Thanks for your response there!

To correct this situation, I recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

Please, navigate to the Ubisoft Game Launcher cache folder, by default located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache
Do note, that the Uplay client must be fully shut down at this point and not running in the background.
Open the cache folder and move the "ownership" folder to a safe location.
Once you have backed up that folder, delete the "cache" folder.
After deleting the cache folder, please verify the game files within Epic:
- Open Epic
- Navigate to the game in your Library and click the cog icon.
-click the Verify button once the drop down menu appears.
- After verification, the launch option appears again.

If verification is not available within Epic, please install the game files in Uplay. If you need to verify the files after installation, you can do this via the following:-

- In Uplay, click on Games tab at the top of the window
- On the next screen, hover over the game tile. This will make a little arrow appear at the bottom right of the tile
- Click on this arrow to make a drop-down menu appear, then click on Verify files

When this has been completed, try launching the game again.
