My brother recently bought rainbow on his own steam account downloaded it and began playing. Later when I logged into my own steam account and tried launching the game a message popped up saying starting the game will bind the following stats and information from my brothers account to my account, how do I fix this and will I lose my own stats if I click continue to bind it.

That message often means you are signed in to the wrong Ubisoft account for the Steam account you are using. The content between the 2 accounts don't match and so it tries to bind them together. If you try to to bind you will likely be met with an error message.
As long as you and your brother linked your Steam purchases to the correct Ubisoft accounts, you shouldn't experience this issue.
