Hi, I didn’t know where to post this on the forums so I’ll post it here. For a few years now I’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing siege. But I’ve run into the same issue multiple times on a repetitive basis. I primarily play on console and it has come to my attention that siege for console is riddled with people who use third party software and devices to use mouse and keyboard, this giving a major competitive edge. But that then begs the question… should siege go cross-platform? If Ubisoft and the team behind Sieges development and updates were to enable cross platform play we can drastically reduce the level of toxicity amongst the siege community. I for one would love for another form of policing be implemented. Players on console would be required to declare whether they use third party software/Mouse and Keyboard, to play the game. If it is found that you lied to use mouse and keyboard against controller players then you will receive a ban or at the very least you will receive a rep warning and continuous violations of this new ruling will result in a ban. Depending how many times you get caught, your ban time will increase. It will overall help players enjoy the game because they are able to play against those who use the same input device. Allowing for the overall skill level of players who stopped because of these “cheaters” on console to return to a game they possibly enjoyed. Overall I think Ubisoft should at least consider this as a feature for a future update. Allowing a more accurate gauge of skill for both console and pc players. If you don’t mind playing against people on mouse and keyboard. An option should be added to enable them to enter your lobbies. Otherwise you will rarely see them in your games. Hopefully this is read by a few people who have the same issue and can finally fix this long standing issue for console players.
