Playing Siege on a platinum level is genuinely just sad on Xbox. You WILL get DDOSed, and its gotten to the point I dont want to play the game anymore. Im currently banned from the game because one of the opposing team members were missing at the start of the match so they first DDOSed me then canceled it so I would get banned.

I start any match with an opposing team member missing, scared, and its beyond frustrating. It does not affect just me either, it affects everyone in my household and I cant even enjoy other things outside of Siege until they decide to stop flooding my IP. Everyone else wants me to stop playing the game as well. But as much as I hate getting banned, unfairly loosing elo, and having internet access striped from me, I love Siege and am determined to find a way to stop getting virtually raped constantly.

Is there any way for me as well as my friends to protect ourselves from these attacks? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏻

Hey lightningcat22, thanks for reaching out and I am sorry to hear about the recent experience you've had.

First and foremost, if you do have details of the game(s) you've mentioned where you've been DDoSed, or if you ever encounter suspicious activity in the future again, can you get back to us by providing the following details:

1. When did this happen (exact time if possible)
2. Name of the player responsible for the DDoS
3. Any video link is useful

Please do mind that player reporting via forums is against our rules therefore for such contacts, we'd like to ask you to get through to us via one of the channels below:

1. Support website
2. Facebook
3. Twitter

This will allow us to investigate the matter further and take action accordingly.

We are also taking steps to minimize the impact of (D)DoS on your games, as explained in this article.

In the meantime, as you're saying that your IP address got exposed, can you advise us whether you happen to lose connection completely or does it only affect Rainbow 6 Siege server connection at the time?

Let us know and we will get back to you!

Thanks for your response there lightningcat22 and I'm sorry to hear you wish to move on.

We'd be more than happy to look into the matter further as I am fairly positive there are things you can do in order to prevent this from happening, for example if you were to be in a position to change your IP, ISP should be able to assist you with it.

If you do end up changing your mind and would like to see what can be done, I'd like to ask you to advise us the following:

1. When DDoS happens, what is the error message you receive as you attempt to reconnect?
2. Does issue only affect connection to Rainbow 6 Siege servers at the time or are you completely unable to access internet at the time?

In the meantime, I can assure you that our development team is looking at ways to tackle this issue and as soon as we will have any further information, details will be posted here, in our official forums, so keep an eye.
