I know Ubisoft is working on a solution. However we need to start mitigation instead of doing nothing. Doing nothing has caused a decrease in the player base due to fraudulent practices on a game without native MNK Support. Decreases moral and enthusiasm in the console community. The leaderboards and lobbies are dominated by cheaters which has not given recognition to the legitimate champions abs ranks of console siege. The game on console deals with DDOSING, MNK, and Trappers. Ubisoft has done a great job mitigating Ddosing on its own servers. The third issue, is a being addressed in Y7. However, the second (and technically third) issue, something noticeable, which seems almost useless is the report button UI on seige. It’s there, however it’s not utilized by any enforcement. Please encourage others to report players and Ubisoft to create jobs for moderators and enforcers. I leave it to the community how to punish these users. I am laying out a plan below which I encourage people sponsor.
(1) Reporting Method: If someone is using mouse and keyboard, the community should encouraged to report it. It will be viewed and voted on by a community of enforcers wether to determine if it was in fact MNK or controller. A human may detect mouse and keyboard better than working on a software for a bot in the meantime to start mitigation.
Banning MnK users will increase PR and Morale. As we had seen over the Internet with the PS5 mitigation. It will discourage people to play seige and cheat and force people who want to play MNK to play controller and learn controller. Right now, it’s the other way around. Controller players are having to learn MNK to compete against it. It should be the other way around, right? Finally, we will have a legitimate leaderboard and we will see genuine statistics of players and ourselves.
(2) Registration: People with GENUINE disabilities should register with Ubisoft and show proof of their disabilities. They would then be placed in their own ques and servers getting que’d in lobbies with other people who are disabled. It’s not fair for people with and without disabilities to play against each other obviously. The olympics follows the same principles. my idea is that this could be found somewhere in the accessibility menu in the settings going to a external link.
This allows people with disabilities to play against eachother MNK vs MNK. MnK should never go against a controller, if it did then we would see cross play between PC and Console.
Importantly, we should begin to have the community enforce or jobs created to review anyone breaking laws. The report button has been virtually useless and serves no UX function. My opinion, MnK users should be banned temporarily, permanently, loss of ranks, I leave it to the forum and community. However, I would show no mercy on these people as they have no respect for the siege community. Permanent Bans. Hopefully if they really appreciate the game they can save enough money and buy a PC, then see how they fair in the correct environment. I hope by next invitational a solution to enforcement and MnK will be addressed publicly.
