TLDR the entire context;

- opposing teams ping spikes, freezing the entire server over
- players from both sides had left, not being expected at all of ever returning
- opposing players had admitted to not doing anything to solve the issue of their end, to partial degree (obviously as players, we know the measures and solutions to solving stuff like this)
- as a collective, my ENTIRE TEAM left after waiting for 15 min, sacrificing elo, on, equivalently, the world's most easiest tech solution of all time

Perhaps you'll pose the question,
"Just bite the bullet and reconnect as a team?"

Why would any of us do that, expecting similar ideas from any of the rest of us, after all that,
just to play the rest of a foul mood match against 2/5 idiots?


I'm not even asking for a compensation for the match.
I actually want to know:

what are the 5 W's,
and what we're we honestly supposed to do at 2 AM?

Hello isometrick.! First, I sincerely apologize that you and your team were stuck in this situation in Rainbow Six Siege. I'm sure it was incredibly annoying, exhausting, and disappointing to deal with. I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience that was caused! Second, thank you for taking the time to write this post! The team is constantly working to make Siege a better gameplay experience for players, and any help we can get from the community when it comes to problems like these is greatly appreciated. Moving forward, your approach to this situation was and is totally reasonable. Considering the time at which you were playing this match and the fact that you had already spent a decent amount of time waiting in-game, I understand that there were not many other options. Although this already had a negative toll on your gameplay experience, waiting any longer would've wasted your time and that of your other team members.

With that being said, I would be more than happy to report this specific instance to the relevant team along with your feedback and comments. Please keep in mind that Support is not able to speculate on plans for compensation (if any) regarding in-game issues, and any plans will be mentioned on the official Twitter for Siege. I'm also, unfortunately, unable to grant compensation myself personally, but I do appreciate you bringing attention to this and reporting it properly! Thank you.
