Unless you are standing right next to someone the gold Slug will destroy a gatekeeper user.

Slug is basically a sniper rifle with no scope. It does half the damage per shot as a sniper rifle but the slug out DPSs the Sniper. Gold Sniper DPS is about 297, Gold Slug DPS is 643 if all shots hit. This is including reload times, the sniper is better if you fire and then swap to something else.

The slug rifle is one of the OP weapons in the game at the moment and has been needing a slight nerf for a long time now.
ok, but gatekeeper fires 7 bullets a second, slug fires 1.
That's actually a downside. Firing harder bullets, but slower means you can peek around corners and fire a single shot while being exposed for a much shorter time.

not really, because i'm not a coward. I don't hide really, because it's boring. I play more aggressively.
I mean, I'm not saying hide. I'm a pretty aggressive player too, but I use the terrain to my advantage. Timing and positioning is just as, if not more, important than aim and weaponry. If I hit them, and they can't hit me, I win. Plus there's the matter of easy headshots without any inaccuracy.
