It’s great that Psyonix communicate with the players on all the important issues

Community team (me and others) run the Discord servers for RL, FN, etc., so when something untrue about the server pops up, of course I'm going to challenge it.

Exactly. I dropped in the skull, thumbs up, and thumbs down. Only admins and a few other roles with elevated privs can add reactions to announcements in the RL server.

We did not manually reset reactions on the trading removal announcement. We do not reset reactions on announcements in the server based on how an announcement is received. I know Discord (the app, not just our server) was having some severe issues, and even went down temporarily yesterday for some users and some servers, which is the likely culprit here, and Discord as a platform in general isn't always stable when it comes to tracking a large number of reactions to a p...

APIs mess up sometimes and not all data can be accounted for. We didn't remove any reactions. EDIT: This started about an hour after our announcement went out.

I don't have anything to add or follow up on after the change we announced on Tuesday, just pushing back against a conspiracy theory here, sorry.

This is what the reaction count looks like to me right now. I know Discord (the app, not just our server) went down temporarily yesterday for some users and some servers, which is the likely culprit here, and Discord as a platform in general isn't always stable when it comes to tracking a large number of reactions to a post or announcement.

Player-to-Player Trading will be removed from Rocket League on December 5 at 4 p.m. PST.

We’re making this change to align with Epic’s overall approach to game cosmetics and item shop policies, where items aren’t tradable, transferrable, or sellable. This opens up future plans for some Rocket League vehicles to come to other Epic games over time, supporting cross-game ownership.

FAQ
Q: What do I do with my duplicate or unwanted items?
A: The Trade-In system for Core Items, Tournament Items, and Blueprints will allow players to continue trading in eligible duplicate or unwanted items to receive a random new item of higher rarity.

Q: What if I lent someone an item?
A: These actions are not supported by Psyonix and all trades are considered final. Our support team cannot help reverse trades.

Q: What about third-party trading websites or servers?
A: After December 5, there will be no way to trade item... Read more
