As the first official Mystery[www.seaofthieves.com] began to unfold on the Sea of Thieves, it was a shock to pirates sailing the seas last month when a skeleton appeared, unannounced, on the potentially appropriately named Sea Dog’s Rest. Boots, gloves and a hat suggested a victim, but the question for now was a simple one: who did this surprise skeleton belong to?

The nearby accoutrements immediately called to mind the recently retired Sea Dogs, leading most passing gumshoes to suspect the dynamic duo of DeMarco and Lesedi, what with their disappearance following the disbanding of the Sea Dogs and closure of their tavern. The Sea of Thieves servers are gradually coming back online, so if you can't get on just yet, you’ll soon be able to slap another Voyage on the table and set sail in search of fortune and glory!

In the meantime, download the necessary update so you're ready.



The time has come to take a break – the Sea of Thieves servers are now temporarily offline for essential maintenance. There's a bit of hammering and assured head-nodding to be done, but we'll let you know as soon as it's safe to set sail again. Cheers!



Attention, pirates! The Sea of Thieves servers will be offline from 10:00am (BST) tomorrow, 23 June 2022. There's some essential tinkering to be done, so please plan your Voyages accordingly.
