If you are using "-nosteam" then you'll need to remove that line item from your launch properties in order to link.
What do we do if our account linked on steam isnt our main account, and we dont know the login details to the steam linked one?
Reaching out to our support team is probably your best bet. An Account management rep can help you get this sorted.

Any idea what I have to do if I don't have -nosteam? I am on steam.
Try making sure your Steam Overlay is enabled for SMITE to see if that helps.
Also having this issue!! Sent a support ticket and hopefully they have a fix
