This game is f*cking impossible to get into

I wanna start off by saying two things. I’m new to these types of games and I’m on ps5. Now, with those details out of the way I have no idea which gods to play so I just stick to a few that I think beat me up nicely and/or look fun to play. I know I’m obviously gonna die more than normal because I AM just bad at the game, but it’s a bit frustrating when no matter what encounter I get into, I die without even getting them down halfway. So I ask for help from my team. No one EVER, and I mean EEEVVVEEERRR comes to help. I’m always left to solo. Not to mention that the whole item system is just overwhelming x5. I can’t even read the descriptions of 4 things before I’m massively confused, and if I try to use auto-buy with a highly recommended setup, nothing changes, like at all. No matter what I do or who I play, I’m always underpowered. And it seems like there’s a couple gods (like the shaman Brigette) that just always win, period. I really want to like this game, I used to have fun just seeing all the cool sh*t that can happen but when I’m being left to fend for myself, even though I’m like lvl9 fighting a lvl13, it’s just hard to enjoy anything.

If anyone could give any sort of advice (besides “just stop playing”) it would be greatly appreciated because I’m at a loss here.

Edit: so what I’m hearing from everyone is “learn the game on your own time, f*ck face” (no one was actually rude like that, you’re all super nice, but ya know) So I guess I just need to do my homework 🥲🥲

Edit #2: guys, I really do appreciate all the feedback, but I don’t exactly need like 150 people all telling me to go do my research, I could hardly sleep because of all the bleep-bloops I was getting 🙃 plus y’all are giving me like 4 paragraphs per person…thank you but like 😵‍💫

Edit #3: I’ve got it, I need to do a lot or research, practice with bots, basically stop playing conquest all together (for now) and focus on Arena and joust. I’m honestly stunned by how active this post has become and at this point, I almost feel bad for making all of you repeat yourselves. I’ve even got people DMing me offering to coach. I’ve only got like maybe 3 negative comments, if that. I appreciate all the help and for anyone who’s interested, I’ll probably make another post at some point talking about my improvements.
