Is casual Conquest SrS business or experimentation is fine

Just curious what the community thinks. Sometimes I like to try something to make a build, see how it works, diversify and try to make builds to learn counter play options. But its met with so much anguish and resistance I felt so far.

How do others feel when someone goes outside the "bos"?

Edit: I see a lot confusing experimenting with not "playing your role". I do want to say that has always been the intention.
