Hi Holotable Heroes,
Based on your feedback and questions around Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker’s kit, we are making two changes to the description of his Leader ability to help clarify its interaction. These updates to the kit description will not change the mechanics or balance of the original kit. The Kit Reveal post has been updated with the new description or read on below.
The first change is regarding the line that explains the enemy’s speed can’t be manipulated after their Speed is set. While this is true in most cases, those units can still benefit from positive effects like Speed Up since this effect does not change the unit’s base Speed. That means there is a small window before their Speed is altered at the start of JKL's turn again where those units can benefit from the temporary speed increase. Luke’s Leader ability will trigger at the start of each of Luke’s turns and will set their Speed to his base Speed again if there has been an increase since the start of his last turn.
This also interacts with characters that have lower speed and those debuffed with Speed Down. Enemy units will have their Speed lowered by Speed Down in addition to Luke’s effect (if he has taken his first turn) but their speed will not be increased to Luke’s speed at the start of Luke’s turn. For example, Luke’s base Speed is 100 and the enemy unit has been reduced to Luke’s base Speed and they have Speed Down so their Speed is at 75. They will keep their reduced Speed of 75 until the debuff expires or impacted by another ability.
With that in mind, we have updated the text to say the following: "their base Speed can't be increased”.
The second change is to the section about Raid Bosses and Galactic Legends being immune to Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker’s Leader ability effects. The old version implies the whole effect doesn't work. However, only the Speed alteration effect is not triggered.
------
Old:
All Light Side allies have +15% Critical Chance and Critical Damage, doubled for Jedi allies.
At the start of each of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker's turns, all enemies are reduced to his base Speed until end of encounter, and their Speed can't be manipulated after their Speed is set (his base value is recorded at the start of encounter before any buffs or debuffs are applied). This leader ability does not affect Raid Bosses and does not activate if the enemy side also has a similar ability or a Galactic Legend.
At the start of encounter, all Jedi allies (excluding Old Republic Jedi) gain the granted ability Heroes Arise.
New (changes in GREEN[/b]):
