Like the title says, I'm not really happy with my loading times.
No matter what I do, 'fast' traveling takes 30 seconds, loading the game from the main menu (when you press 'continue') is around 60-90 seconds.
I have no idea how to fix it, especially compared to my friends, who have older hardware, but yet still faster (fast travel for them is like 3-5 seconds) and having their games on SSD's (not M.2 NVME drives).
It could be something in the software, but I have no idea what or where to search for?
Also, since 2 weeks or so (I think since Belfry update) I run into A LOT of stutter and freezes/crashes, which isn't fun either. Normally I run around 130-140 FPS Ultra settings (around 90 in open world), except when there are explosions etc., I drop like 50-60 fps. And explosions happen a lot ...
My current hardware:
- Amd Ryzen 3900x CPU
- NZXT Z63 AIO Cooler
- ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Formula Motherboard
- ASUS ROG GTX 1080 TI 11GB Graphics Card
- 2x16GB Trident Z. Neo 3600MHZ CL16 Ram
- Corsair MP600 500GB M.2 SSD (my bootdrive) (PCIE Gen.4)
- Samsung 960 EVO 1TB M.2 SSD (my gamedrive) (PCIE Gen.3)
- Corsair RM850x Powersupply
What I've done so far:
- Clean install (on both drives, no changes, also used Revo Uninstaller Pro to get rid of everything related to TD2)
- Tried low AND ultra settings (no changes)
- All drivers are up-to-date (windows, nvidia, chipset, bios etc.)
- Verified gamefiles
I really hope somebody can help me, especially with the load times, cause they are actually the most annoying thing for me.
Thanks in advance
