So, i recently tried playing through the The Division2 campaign again and i found out that the game has a habit of freezing randomly and whenever i try to end its task or when it inevitabely crashes, it also freezes my entire laptop at which point i have to cut the power to the device. I have to specify that i have played the entire game on this laptop whithout issue when it launched. I have already tried changeing settings in game, and updateing my drivers.
Hope someone is able to help me and ty in advance.
P.S. My specs are:
RTX 2060 Graphics card with 6 Gb of vram
Intel core I7 10750H
16 Gb of ram

Your crashing may be caused by an issue with the current Easy Anti Cheat drivers.

As a result, there's a short process I can recommend that may help with your crashing at the moment.

  1. Verify your game files through Ubisoft Connect.
  2. Repair the Easy Anti Cheat: (https://www.easy.ac/support/game/guides/installer/) installation.
  3. Fully Reinstall Easy Anti Cheat: (https://www.easy.ac/support/game/guides/installer/) if the crashing continues.


If those steps do not completely resolve your crashing, you can also try clearing the Ubisoft Connect cache and disabling the Ubisoft Connect overlay.

Please let me know if this has any impact on the crashing you're running into!

Thank you for your information on this front! Typically, we do not recommend direct settings files changes publicly as they can often cause more trouble than they solve but these suggestions should be harmless for anyone who sees and attempts them!

@HertoghJan Thanks for sharing that information! Can you confirm that you've run through our basic PC troubleshooting guide? Also, are you running into crashes randomly or at specific points in gameplay?
