Hello,

i have just a question;

how possible is it, if Windows (10) by itself haves corrupted files that this let me freeze games?

By entering the command "sfc /scannow" i had some damaged files, after repaired them i didnt have any freeze since 11 days. Before this action i had freezes every 10-30 min.

Random luck ? Or possible Issue ? Or is Division 2 not depending on Windows files or corrupted files or something like this`?

How possible is it that the Windows Defender causes a freeze by doing in background updates on Virussignature or Scans.

Sometimes i can see in my Systemlog that the Defender is updating the Service and few minutes later was the Division2.exe not longer working.
I dont use any other Virusscaner or other Background Software. No Discord or something like this also not Streaming.

Every Troubleshooting doesnt help on my system. Tried every well known solution but nothing worked. With the exception of the mentioned Windows errors.
I dont let the Defender scan the Gamefolders, also not the Anticheat Folder.

Sorry for the delay in responding to this @joeferro !

There are many factors that can lead to and impact PC and game performance, with system file issues and antivirus certainly being a possibility.

May we please know the other troubleshooting steps you've also attempted?

Did you follow this guide? Just so we can see what other steps we can suggest to you.

Thank you!

Hello @JoeFerro, thank you for your detailed reply, I am happy to hear that the freeze issue has seemingly stopped for you after deleting your Ubisoft Cache folder and making a few adjustments.

Windows files can get corrupted for a number of reasons, usually, just like game files, this can happen if an update was interrupted, you lost connection, files were moved, or there was a crash or interruption whilst Windows was saving system files of its own.

When it comes to restoring Hardcore characters, this is something we currently don't do for players, but I understand your concern if a game would crash whilst playing with one of these characters, it would be very upsetting if putting a lot of hours into that playthrough.
