Hello!
    So I have been trying for a while to get my game started and it simply isn't working. I have tried pretty much anything: updated my video card drivers, reinstalled Ubisoft connect launcher and verified that all the files are alright through the launcher.
    I must mention that it is the free version that was released a few months back.

    PC specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7600k CPU @ 3.80GHz 3.80GHz
16.9 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Windows 10 Pro

Some help would be really appreciated!

@stefanteo Hey,

I am sorry to hear that you're encountering issues getting started. Can you confirm what specifically blocks you? Do you get any error messages?

Also when you say "Free Version" are you referring to a trial version of the game?

@stefanteo Thanks for that screenshot, and for confirming that this is a giveaway version and not a trial! I can see that you've done some troubleshooting, but have you attempted all of the steps found in this guide? If so, I recommend gathering your MsInfo and DxDiag files, and then opening a ticket with us on our support site. You can also contact us on Twitter and Facebook as well!

@stefanteo Hey,

Sorry to hear that the steps didn't resolve your issue.

You can create a support ticket via our help website and attach the files through there, we can still view those 🙂

Could you see if deleting your AppData works to resolve this?:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
  4. Delete the ‘Darktide’ directory

You may then need to use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option via Steam:

  1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam
