[2021] Purchasing Ultimate edition

My friend has the base game game "Division 2", and was going to get the DLC, but the sale on "Warlords of New York Edition" (wony dlc only) ended it's sale yesterday. However, the sale on the Ultimate Edition is still up, and is still lower than the full price of the DLC.

If my friend purchases the ULTIMATE EDITION (base game + wony dlc), even though my friend already has the base game, will my friend have ubisoft account problems? How about division2 character problems?

Hey there @Daniexus . Thanks for reaching out about this! If your friend has multiple versions of the same game installed on their PC, it can cause issues. This is especially true if one version of the game comes from us, and one comes from Steam or Epic. Just to clarify a bit further, would both versions of the game come directly from our Store?

@daniexus This would be fine. They can buy the game + expansion and should be able to just verify the game files and access the content with you.
