Platform: Win10, Ubisoft client.

Please tell me how to stop TD2 from starting as soon as patch / update has finished installation?

Since TU15, any patch / update, such as Thu 9 June's maintenance that forced a download, when the patch / update has completed installation, TD2 auto-starts. I confirmed that I have nothing in the "Game launch arguments" and that the Ubisoft client is not set to auto-start when Windows starts. I start the client when I want to play a Ubisoft game then open the game usually... until TU15. Now, if I see that TD2 needs a patch / update, I have to wait for it to complete, let the game auto-start then exit when it reaches the character selection screen. I don't have fast Internet so the completion is usually at a very inconvenient time; I can't leave the game to update because of the game auto-start issue.

While I doubt it's relevant, I'll add that I have disabled all overlays (Nvidia, Ubisoft client).

Thanks in advance.

@justinstyles Hey! This literally just happened to me the other day after I updated Far Cry 6 and the game launched. I suddenly heard music and was so confused about where it was coming from until I figured out what had happened. Apparently, If you close the update window that pops up, the game won't automatically start once the update is complete. I haven't tested this out myself because I normally just let the game update and walk away from the PC for a while, but if you find that this works for you, please let me know. I'd be curious to see. 🙂

Thanks for sharing an update with us, @justinstyles, and for letting us know that, after you closed the download pop-up window, the game didn't auto-start like it has been. I'm glad to hear this! 😄

I've notified our dedicated teams about this auto-start issue, and I've also passed on your feedback about being able to disable this within the Ubisoft Connect launcher. If we require any additional information from you, we'll reach out within this thread.

Any future updates to the Ubisoft Connect launcher will be made available on our official platforms, as well as within the Ubisoft Connect launcher itself via release notes.

Thanks! 😊
