Check if your antivirus or firewall is blocking a proper autosave due to a block of the game permissions.

Also if you got your campaign data saved corrupted send me your corrupted saved games files to [email protected], I will try to fix them. My suggestion is that if you are playing locally, it would be better if you disable your STEAM cloud. This tool doen't work fine with a big amoung of games in STEAM library.

You have a backup option that allows you to make a backup everty time you beat a mission, so you can use your tech points in the next mission and change it if you don't like.

If you dont have that file in the proper folder your installation of the game is broken. You should reinstall the game again making sure there is nothing blocking it.
