Shock towers should work in the final wave like they work in the middle game. Check if your shock towers got disconnected for any reason like @Andrewbh2003 says. I have checked and there is no issue with the shock towers.

Do you suffer this issue every time you play the game and whatever game mode you use?

Usually this cases of error are brought along by the writing permission blocked by antivirus, firewall or realtime scanners. Check them all please.

As the ZXlog says, all is related to a bad installation of SlimDX. Make sure that there is nothing blocking a proper installation of this tool. Antivirus, firewalls and specifically real time scanners usually block this.
