my trackmania crashes when i open anything that is not the main menu. it just strait up closes the game without saying "not responding" or anything like that. how do i fix this??

I am sorry to hear that you are facing crash issue when playing Trackmania.
In order to isolate the issue and getting towards the resolution of the problem, could you please have a look at these troubleshooting steps?
Also, could you please make sure any peripheral is not causing such an issue? Could you try to run tests while the controller is unplugged (or even more components, should you have more)?
