Sorry if it's been reported already, but I don't see it on the forum or on the known issues list.
It's hard to describe what's the issue so I recorded it instead: new TM bug
At first I thought it was random, but after a while of experimenting I managed to reproduce it consistently: bug reproduced
Since the video doesn't tell everything you need to press respawn right before the next checkpoint; the respawn animation shows you approaching the previous cp but you respawn at the one you pressed respawn right before (I can't into words today, I hope it's clear). I didn't manage to reproduce it in validation mode but in test mode it's consistent. (and tbh I didn't really try it with validation mode)

Thank you for the detail and videos you sent, watching them back certainly makes you dizzy!

We have completed many updates since your post and I believe this may well have been resolved as when I tried to reproduce this I was unable to.

Would it be possible to confirm if this persists for you?
