I was building a map that works, just like a pf map, except a few times, it is necessary to respawn and change inputs during the respawning period. Most times it worked just like expected, nothing wrong, but on some checkpoints, when going from start, even though the held inputs were exactly the same, it gave a different result. When I went back into the editor and went from the checkpoint, it worked just like expected.

So: sometimes when respawning at a specific checkpoint, holding the exact same inputs, game behaves differently.

I usually respawned at the checkpoint once and just changed the inputs, that's when it occurs. But when I respawned a few times and then held the correct inputs, It seemed as if the problem went away

I suppose it's because the time of respawning in each run is not the same (human error).

The inputs shown are only the inputs that are in use, I am always holding them during the respawn time.

No worries about your report. You did an absolutely amazing job, especially considering this is your first. 😊

When respawning at different checkpoints, there can be a bit of a difference in game behavior but just to make sure:

  • If you change inputs at the checkpoints, the issue occurs? But if you respawn with default inputs, it doesn't seem to be an issue?
  • Has it always been like this or did it change at some point?
  • About how many times are you having to respawn after reverting those inputs back to normal before the problem seems to go away?
  • When that happens are you respawning from the same checkpoint or from different checkpoints?
