So I bought a no name brand X-Box 360 generic controller to play Trackmania and noticed that my car full steers even though I do not have my analog stick fully to the side and doing precision, I saw that "small" steers and "big" steers were like almost literally a half centimeter apart.

I brushed this off as the cheap controller's fault and bought the following controller:
https://www.amazon.com/Controller-He...4969256&sr=8-7
Which fair enough is also a cheap controller, however:
I start up the game, entered a map and expected a much wider range of movement, half steer actually being half of my analog stick, full steer being the full analog stick, but to my huge disappointment, it's exactly the same as the generic 360 controller I bought.
I consulted the discord, and someone recommended to check the calibration of the controller on Windows to see if it's a cheapo controller issue.
BUT, in the Windows calibration, the controller works perfectly, hold the analog stick slightly tilted registered as a slight tilt, etc.
So the issue seems to be fully a Trackmania issue, either the 2 controllers aren't really compatible with the game, or the in game settings have some issues. I've had the sensitivity setting maxed, and at minimum, I've had the dead zone at maxed and at minimum, but pretty much nothing is different.

How would I go about having half steer with my analog stick tilted half way, quarter steer, quarter tilt, etc?
@Nadeo Can Nadeo release a better support patch if it's a Trackmania issue and I can't do anything on my end? Us poor people can only play with knock off products.

Hello, thank you for contacting us about this!

Although most players use DualShock 4 or Xbox One controllers, any XInput or DirectInput controller should work.

My immediate thought was the deadzone, however you have already tried that. Reducing this to the minimum should give you more freedom and sensitivity, as it requires less movement before input is recognised.

Do you have any other racing games? If so, can you please test the controller and check how the game plays?

Do you also have a DualShock 4 or Xbox One controller available to you for testing? I understand you don't have one available to use at all times; this would only be for testing.

It's currently difficult to determine where the issue lies, but we will do our best!
