Good day,
Probably not the right place to complain about the quality of TM2020 - but have not found any other place to express my frustration with the quality of the servers. Since Nadeo is part of Ubisoft I think that it is acceptable to criticize here.
For days now there have been disconnects from the review server (one of the main features included in the 30 Euro subscription version) or popular the removal of the route from the queue by either arbitrariness or by dividing the lobby to "shorten" the waiting time.
This is the msg. that await you constantly when playing their:
If the game is already offered as a service game, these functions should also be in an acceptable or functional condition - otherwise 30 euros are for this will be a bottomless cheek.
Don't get me wrong, but the game does a lot of things right - but it is annoying if you wait 30 minutes or more for your map to get feedback and then the server smears just before. You will then be greeted by another wait from approx.. 63 minutes. If things go well, you can show your map to others once in 4 hours of play.
This is not acceptable and should be changed - I am now making some suggestions for improving the quality in addition to the server stability that is obviously up to you (Nadeo).
Point 1.
Subdivision of the review servers into categories such as Multilap (lap routes), time races, RPG with adapted times to test. Lap routes should e.g. Get a test time of 10 minutes per map, time races should have 7 minutes because not every map has the same difficulty and heavy maps are difficult to assess within 3 minutes. A test time of 15 minutes would be conceivable for RPG.
A subdivision into levels of difficulty would also be conceivable, e.g. beginners, advanced and professionals (5 min, 7 min, 10 min).
Point 2.
Another problem that comes with the short test time of routes is the evaluation of routes. So I found that difficult routes generally get a worse rating because they were often not finished in such a short time.
In addition to this rating problem, there is also the so-called resentment rating, where people who intentionally give a 1 star to push their own track in the rating for the Track of the Day. Therefore, I suggest installing a filter that either only allows people to evaluate routes that they have completed at least once in time or block people who use the system to their own advantage. It should also not be possible to evaluate your own route.
that's all I've got as feedback,
I wish you a good day,
Runningbone (Max)
