Hello ! Since I played TM on another computer than the one I'm usually using, I discovered that my game wasn't fluid as it should be. When I say "fluid" I mean like I have the feeling I have less frame per seconds then what is shown on the screen. I tried every combinations possible in the in-game settings to make my game smoother but I didn't succeed. The only time I got the same feeling as I had playing on another computer was when I activated V-sync but I had big input-lag making it unplayable. There is a video that I recorded today on Winter-25 and you can see on the top left of the screen that my fps are constently at 65 fps (I limited them cause I have a 60 Hertz display) but you can see that my game is laggy.

My specs : laptop Acer Aspire VX15 VX5-591G-52MP : GTX 1050 (4Go); Intel Core i5-7300HQ and 8Go of RAM which are way higher than the recommend requirements.

Here is the video I shot : https://youtu.be/0SNPQ34noqU

And these are my graphics settings :

If you need more details on anything or more videos, I'll provide it to you.

Hello!

I completely understand the issue you describe. FPS is not the only thing that leads to a smooth gaming experience; I am aware games can still sometimes feel sluggish and you can feel stutters, however it's not always easy to find the root cause.

You certainly meet the minimum requirements. My next thought would be whether your game is able to get enough component resources for the game.

- What FPS do you get with V-Sync or max FPS limited?
- What is your CPU usage when playing?

Try disabling all background resources and see if that helps: https://support.ubisoft.com/Article/000063761

Thank you!

I've tried what you said, closing every apps that could be in the background but I still have those lags, particularly on Winter-25.
I've also tested what you asked me to do : so with Full V-Sync I have constant 60 fps with a smooth game but bit input-lag on my keyboard; I have around 135 fps on Winter-25 without any fps restrictions.
Concerning my cpu, when I'm playing and I look at the Task Manager it uses 55% with V-Sync activated and fps limited at 62. And when i'm playing without this fps limit, my cpu goes above 80% (so that's why i'm restricting it haha).

I don't know if there is a software answer to my problem, maybe my laptop is too old

Hello

My apologies, I had meant to write "without V-Sync and FPS limited" but you answered that too.

Although you are reaching a decent FPS, I know from personal experience that gameplay can still stutter if the CPU is under pressure or doesn't have enough bandwidth.

Let's refer to the system requirements for a moment: https://support.ubisoft.com/Article/000081203

For 1080p @ 60 FPS it is recommended to use at least an i5 4690K, and this is the main comparison between that and your CPU -

i5-7300HQ
Base clock: 2.50GHz
Boost clock: 3.50GHz

i5-2500K (min requirement)
Base clock: 3.30GHz
Boost clock: 3.70GHz

i5-4690K (recommended)
Base clock: 3.50GHz
Boost clock: 3.90GHz

I cannot say with absolute confidence, but I believe the CPU is not up to the task to play the game smoothly. Due to the lower clock speed, it may sometimes drop a bit low and cause some stuttering.

Perhaps other players on the forum will have a different opinion however.

I hope this helps in some way!
