[2020] Grass boost bug or new mechanic ?

I've been working with green golf blocks lately.

I have noticed that when we are on yellow boost, if we arrive at lower than 201 km/h, we boost and stay at 201 km/h and not higher. And if we are above 201 km/h, we are slowdown and then we stay at 201km/h.
And for a red boost, it is the same but at 799km/h.

I don't know if it is a bug, but the mecanic is really interesting. Here's the video link for more comprehension : https://youtu.be/sbzJU97LI9w

Hello Salhigan and fooxii, thank you for posting about this.

Are you both able to replicate this in other game modes and other maps where the yellow boost zone actually locks your speed to 201 km/h?

Hey fooxii and Salhigan.

Good news. I reported this to the Trackmania team and it is not intended mechanic and I believe is indeed a bug.

They are working on a fix now, hopefully I can update you soon with more information so thank you for bringing it to our attention. There is no thumbs up emoji so here's a smiley face for you both
