[2022] Game won't load past "Loading, please wait..."

Hello,

Game won't load past that screen, it is stuck loading into RAM (I'm guessing) at between 632 and 655 MB. It usually used up to 5GB so I guess this is the problem.
What I have tried:

• Uninstalling OpenPlanet
• Verifying files
• Reinstalling the game
• Restarting the pc

There is another post titled "Crash unable to start the game, i tried everything, here is the log", but my game does not crash.
It worked perfectly (yesterday) until today, no windows updates, no game updates... so no idea what is the problem.

Machine:

• Windows 10
• NVIDIA GTX 970m
• Intel i7-4720hq
• 16gb RAM
