[2022] [TMNF] Could not init the network

I have had trackmania nations forever on Steam for a while now and occasionally play the online tracks, never having any issues connecting. Yesterday, I installed Trackmania 2020 on ubisoft and now whenever I try to play the online tracks on TMNF a message pops up saying "Could not init the network". My TMNF is connected to the internet as my account is logged into and I still get world stats and ads on my games, I just can no longer play the online mode. Please help
