UPDATE - March 28/2022:

Garuda Prime comes with the Prime Toggle for TennoGen, but her Talons will not take custom TennoGen textures due to the base model being too different. This will not affect the player's ability to customize her tints, they'll simply be using the Garuda Prime Talon textures. Regular Garuda will still have the ability to use custom TennoGen Talon textures without issue.

If you're an artist or a Tenno who had concerns about the TennoGen textures not applying properly to your Garuda Prime Talons, this is why. That is the intended result, not a bug! Thank you for your understanding, Tenno.

Quoting this update in regards to Garuda Prime Talons, for visibility!

Hi Tenno!

The New War has officially released, and we hope you enjoy the journey it takes you on. For those community members who either are passionate about TennoGen or create it themselves, there could be some content introduced in this Quest that you feel might be a good fit for the TennoGen program.

We do want to hear feedback from the community, but please ensure you follow our TennoGen sub-forum spoiler policy:

  • Do not post spoilers in your titles
  • Tag your posts appropriately as spoilers
  • Please contain your Quest-related comments to spoiler tagged threads only. Do not comment spoilers on existing threads, especially those made by artists -- we are not here to accidentally spoil content, no matter our excitement!

For artists, we are implementing a new policy prohibiting inclusion of New War spoilers in your submission screenshots for the foreseeable future. We will update you when this...

Will these updates be applied to existing gara / glass themed items in game? The Hyalus seems to use old glass.

Tennogen items are the Zamariu skin and the Silica Helmet. will these be updated dev side or is it required for the original authors to update it?

This guide is for artists making new glass creations who want references on how to make the glass more vibrant. There is no expectation for this to apply to existing items. :)

The cloth over the shoulder parts seems to be missing from the body mesh. I can't find it anywhere.

The missing file has been added -- please re-download. Thanks for the catch. :)

Sevagoth’s files are now available on the Steam Workshop!

Like all of our Warframes since Revenant, he uses new tech and thus is missing textures in his ZIP file. It’s on you as the creator to make these maps yourself without any reference files.

Below is a list of what is included in the ZIP for both Sevagoth and his Shadow Form:

  • Normal
  • Emissive
  • Material ID Mask (Tintmask)
  • Body and Helmet meshes

To be clear, you are expected to still make the specular, roughness, and diffuse maps -- we simply can’t send you a reference for comparison.

We have included his shadow form to allow for custom texturin...

quick question regarding this, does it need to specifically say 'in-game resolution" on the screenshot or can the screen have shot be something like 1024x1024?

That's fine!

Just to be sure, Ingame Texture resolution is 1k, right?

You can find all in-game texture resolutions in each item's guide, or in the Final Submissions Checklists here: https://www.warframe.com/steamworkshop/help/index.php?page=final-checklists

Only one not included in this would be the shoulder armor (will be fixed soon!), but you can find it in the official guide here: https://www.warframe.com/steamworks...

Texture Name Changes:

Tintmasks should be renamed from “FilenameTintMask_d” to “Filename_t”.

The TennoGen tool exporter was updated in early November to export Tintmasks with this file name format, but we recommend double checking just to be safe! If you have items exported before December 18, 2020, you will have to rename the Tintmask files prior to the submission deadline.

Our TennoGen Tool update didn't go through as planned, but I can confirm now that the exporter will properly rename your Tintmask files as of yesterday's update!

Thank you for the reports.

About the Tennogen Tool , tried to export twice with different items types but it still save the tintmasks texture name as "FilenameTintMask_d" in the "TennoGenExport.zip" files.
So, did we have to change the name manually in the zip file?

I have also checked if there is any new updates of the tool on Steam but it shows no new update. currently it is Build id 5586380.

I'll look into this, thank you!

Hi Tenno,

The holidays are upon us, so we felt it was appropriate to continue the tradition of announcing the first TennoGen deadline of 2021 before the year comes to a close. This should hopefully allow our artists plenty of time to balance (safely) seeing their families while also putting the finishing touches on their creations!

For this round, we’ll be looking at new content types: more landing crafts, melee weapons, and shoulder armor!

Without further ado, the TennoGen Round 20 deadline is February 15, 2021 at 2pm ET! After that, we will be reviewing all items submitted or updated after July 20th, 2020.

If you have an item that has been in the workshop for a significant amount of time (over a year), we strongly recommend resubmitting to avoid any chance of us missing the updated version. In general, having a fresh submission for items uploaded before July 20th is always recommended to ensure it gets reviewed, but we do our best to catch... Read more
