Will be that way for a little bit longer, we are working on meta data for authors etc etc. We pushed the content server asap to help the mapping competition. It's why you see quite a few editor patches.

I've loosely suggested it might be fun if he spoke on a Dev stream in the past. He is fascinating in his answers & perspective. He's also very funny at times, though I don't know if he knows this. Maybe some time in the future he will talk directly to the egg republic. For now the team want to focus on improving the game/engine. Thus I have to continue being the politician of Diabotical, hopefully you can vote #Frog in the future.

Hey Eggs!

Firstly, thanks for the feedback & suggestions (troll, serious, etc) about the queues & game modes.

It's quite obvious we let the queues sit too long without change. Hurting smaller regions and now effecting larger regions.

I let the Dev team focus on polish for a better engine/core (which was the first round of feedback we got from core players on launch). There is still work to be done here. But we should change our focus to the queue/game mode tasks rather than wait for Season 2 to fix it (Season 2 is planned for December).

Frog, Noctis and myself will start implementing a new mm list/features and game play changes. You may see some changes that could be experimental before Season 2 starts. I will keep an eye out for your feedback.

The new animal programmer is working away on finishing the community content server (first step is to get community maps uploaded and playable). Hopefully that lines up nicely with our changes. I fir...

Hey folks, We've wanted to upgrade the tip screen for a while. Though everyone is pretty swamped here doing the 100 updates in 100 days challenge (fml). I'm hoping we could get a little help from you all. The tip screen shows when you load into maps. I think it would be more fun if the tips were from the community who play the game. Rather than the generic tips that devs normally do.

So if you want to contribute with tips to help others learn or just read something weird... Just post your tip here in the reddit thread and sign it with your in-game EGS alias or well whatever alias you want to be credited for the tip. If you want to post more than 1 tip. I would say 3 max is nice so various tips from the community rotate :)

example tip:

"Try to get a good weapon before you engage" - 2GD

This really helps us :) plus you get your name in the tip screens, which might be fun! We have various different art work for the tips, so if you write about the rocket...

You tend to get higher acc for team modes.

Aye, Yeah there has been quite a few threads with feedback on fixes people would like to see. Unfortunately there is never a quick fix with a small team that's over worked and stressed. It's why its best to fix stuff people suggest post launch. And trust me there is a lot of little issues, so I don't really mind the threads.

If i was making threads with things that need to be fixed. I would be able to make 10x more than the community :D

That being said, we've done 2 other tests with 2 more types of chassis. But unfortunately they wont be ready for open beta. Though I do prefer them for gameplay.

The reason we have x & y padding per gun. Is so I can fine tune the gun play around competitive players. if I give pro players 2 x pixel padding on pncr, making the eggbot 34pixels in width instead of the 30 hitbox width you see. We hit about 80% pncr (myself, abso, winz). the gun should be around 60-70% for top pros in team games.

Same goes with shaft. Currently it had 2.2x padding. which means the absolute best hit about 50% (faye atm), winz for example hits around 40-42% which is where it should be for most pros in comp games. If i wanted to pad 3 x pixels. I would have to lower the dps of shaft to 100 instead of 125. So winz and most pros can hit 50% but achieve the same 50 dps they are currently putting out.

I don't pad Y much at all unless its the shotgun, or you have a huge peekers advantage f...

I hope Diabotical changes the model to do something like this. I know we're probably going to have the same discussion of "you just want DBT to be QL" all over again, but that's really not the case. People just want to have a good model to aim at.

It was also mentioned, we aren't exactly sure the competitive playlist & queue rules for open beta.

From testing and feedback we are only sure on the quickplay setup

poor jayden. F.

also two overwatch friends are super hyped at the art style, maps, the 1v1 clan duel (i prefer classic), and were amazed when you showed sliding the weapon across the bottom from right to center. they were wondering about vertical limits.

but damn firefrog, keep it up. but we're pretty frustrated now.

edit: Freeze Tag over Space CTF. everyone knows ctf. its in OW, its in every afps. its over and done. freeze tag is a lot more engaging as a TDM+Arena kinda style. There really should be a big Freeze Tag menu access icon and not just servers.

yeah its very frustrating for us also about release. but we are doing our very best
